D-Walls & Slurry Walls

Present day methods of constructing diaphragm walls include a range of construction techniques and components such as CWS watertight seals, rope suspended grabs, hydraulic grabs for increased production and verticality control, and Hydrofraise reverse circulation excavation rigs (including compact models). This excavating equipment works quickly and effectively through the viscous slurry whilst maintaining accuracy of alignment both vertically and between panels. For rock and deep walling applications, Hydrofraise drilling machines are utilised.

Diaphragm walls can be also constructed as permanent walls that can be made extremely stiff and therefore better resistant to deflection. Slurry walls are mainly used for the water cut-off effect (specially developed filters can be inserted for environmental reasons).
